This is another Mo Manning image. Isn't she a cutie?!?!?! She was a lot of fun to color. I did not get a chance to finish the bottom of the card base yet. I keep changing my mind on what I wanted to do with the base. I also had time to play with my Spellbinders and thought that it went perfectly with this image! Flowers are from Sizzix and Copics used to color her. enjoy and have a pleasant day! :)

Seam Binding ribbon
I just had to share my seam binding ribbon find! I searched all over the internet for the cheapest place to get there. Finally found one off Amazon.com through ZipperStop. It is a 100 yards and you can dye it to whatever color you want if you order white. SShhhhh! Don't mention it or they will start raising prices on the white ones! hehehehe I've come acreoss a few on the internet where they charge $3 fro 5 yards, etc...after adding everything up it doesn't make sense to buy small quantities of colored ribbons. So I just ordered the white one and will be coloring it myself. I will post how when I start doing that.

I've finally got a chance to finish up this card! Whew!! It is funny, I start with a design in mind and 90% of the time end up with something else. I had a completely different desgn in mind for this cutie but in the end she took a life of her own. Most of my cards are determined by the image. Fun images demand fun card designs, etc...hahahahaha.
Here more pictures of the elements used:
The flowers are from Sizzix. I had alot of fun with these and I love matching!
I love the glittered black ribbon.
And the side view:
Thank you for visiting and have a pleasant day. :)

Saturated Canary Freebie
I was beyond excited when Krista Smith had given away this freebie. I LOVE it!! It is the cutest image. I love the kitten that she is holding. Hmmm, maybe Krista will make one with her holding a penguin. My daughter loves penguins. Not sure how it all happened but she has loved them the day since she was born, or so it seems. She's 6 and still loves penguins! :) I planned to take her to the aquarium today. We'll be seeing a penguin exhibit. I'll blog more about that after our trip. Until then here is my card that I have made with the new digi.
Up-close of the image:
I had to show off the new seam binding ribbon that I had ordered through ZipperStop. I love the vintage feel to it when you crinkle it up! I will be showing you how to make them in different colors ...coming soon!
The button is hand-made. I like the light feel of making it myself vs. using heavy buttons.
I've popped the flowers up on foam. The flowers are from EKSuccess and the glitter on her stockings are from the Sakura Gelly Roll glitter pen.
And here is my final version. Thanks for visitng!

Copic coloring Tutorial
I am not even sure if this qualifies as a tutorial since I've never taken any Copic training class nor has had any Copic training. Well, this is how I use my Copics....
The image is from Saturated Canary. You should check out the different images that Krista Smith has. She is super talented and I LOVE all of her images. I guess you can say that my two favorites are Mo Manning and Krista Smith images. Wished I can do something like that. Anyhow, enough day-dreaming from me. Let's get started.
I start out with R27 and R24 on her hair. Noticed how I used the lighter shade to just go into the area where I think the highlights are on her hair. I've also went in with the darker shade to where I think the light doesn't hit and just color it in. I am going in the direction where the hair go (curves).
Next I go in with R29 and just color. You can see that it blends R27 and R24 together.
Now I add RV42 into the picture. Again this add more depth to the image.
And to finish up the last step I added R29 and R59 to pop it out. To darkened the darker areas I use E47.
For her sheashell bra I used V04 and V09.
For her fin, I used YG11 green.
For her (green)body I used YG09, YG11, YG41, G05 and G21.
For the scales on her body I used: YG03, YG17,YG63, YG67, G05 and G99.
Her eyes are BG05 and BG23.
Here she is all done. I will be making a card out of this image soon. Visit soon to see what I did with the image!

My coloring was based on my daughter's coloring based on Ariel from The Little Mermaid. Here is her coloring next to mine's. I thought that she did a wonderful job (she is only 6 years old!) :)
A project to share
This is so cool! My neice and I made this 3D orgami penguin. Isn't she cute??? My daughter loves penguins, so this was up her alley. She has been giving it hugs and toting it around with her.
My daughter named her Abby. Here's is a front view of Abby.

It has been a long day
Hubby's car needed work. We, the wee ones, had been up early to drop his car at the garage and afterwards drop him of at work. Afterwards I took the kids shopping with me. We headed off to Rancho Cucamonga, which was 42 miles away! My destination was Hobby Lobby! We made it and had a lot of fun. We spent the day shopping at Michaels, Old Navy, Hobby Lobby and had lunch at Subways. It makes for an interesting day. The wee ones were so good in the long car trip. Luckily we were only 30 min picking up hubby from work. He was not too happy with me but he is such a patient man! We spent the whole day shopping....wow, what good kids I've got. We had to pick up hubby's car from Pepboys and then drop it off into another shop for the humming noise that his engine was making. I should have more tie tomorrow to post a card.

More
I have been making some cards lately and have been trying to figure out how to sell them. I don't quite have followers who are interested in my creations. I tried ebay but I was not quite so successful. No takers. I have to try Etsy but the fees scares me. I am thinking that maybe I should try to make a ton of them and try to set up a table at the Farmers market next....
This is one of my favorite Mo Manning image. She is so adorable. The color is a bit sumber for me. I find that I love bright colors...it makes me happy. Being in the California sun, everything seems brighter and happier.
I should really try to see if I can make friends/stamping buddies out here. We are slowly adjusted to the hot weather. It has been in the 80s and just for the past 2 days, it has crept to the 90s....94 to be exact....and we are lovin it!
Back in the groove
I am able to get back into crafting again. We had family visiting us for 3 weeks and yesterday was the last day to host. We will dearly miss their company. I got a few minutes to sit down and use my Prisma pencils today. Sorry but the pictures were taken with my camera phone a few minutes ago.
I messed up on her face. The color was somehow off, so I went back in with Copics to even it out, but somehow it got worse. Then I ended up erasing the color off and reapply Prisma color again. It is ok....but not as how I wanted it to come out.
I like the purple hues with her purple hair.
With this one, I was ok with coloring her, but when it got to the tablecloth portion, it did nto turned out as I had expected. I should have paperstitched the tablecloth instead. Oh well.
This is my favorite of the threee. Maybe it was because it was the last image that I had colored. hehehehee. The black worked out well with the pink. I will try that color combo for next time.
I have been working on a few cards and will upload a few more tonight.
