Magnolia Mother's Day card

I'm back form my Twilight hiatus. I've read all of the books and it was GREAT!! (I did lose a few night's sleep just to find out the plot.) Hopefully they will turn all the books into a movie.
Back to my stamping.... I made this using the SU background stamp. It's embossed with Tim Holtz' distressed embossing powder (brown) and water-colored in. I just wanted to give it a simple look and focusing on the main flower. The background was kept simple and I tried to pull all of the colors out of the from the main image and repeat it in the background. As usual, I don't put sentiments on my cards until I'm ready to send it out, so that it wil coordinate with the occassion.

Have a nice day and thanks for stopping by!

Twilight

I haven't been online to post any cards for the past 2 weeks. I got addicted to the Twilight thing. It started with the movie. I LOVE it!! Then I found out that my sisters had the books and I've been reading the books. I started with "Twilight", then "New Mooon", and now I'm on "Eclipse". I'm half way through. Maybe I'll be done and get back to my cards soon...after I finished "Breaking Dawn". I really love the movie and can't wait for New Moon to be in theaters. I though Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were awesome as Bella Swan and Edward Cullen. It's just a cute movie. I've also seen the interviews and thought how adorable they both really were.

I'll probably be MIA for another week or so.

Mojo Monday week 79

I really love this stamp. I love tulips and it's so easy to create a beautiful card with just the image by itself. My daughter picked out the ribbon (pink is her FAVORITE color) and I just picked up everything else to go along with it. I couldn't find a good pink in my stash to color with so I had to use red (my fav.). It all matches in real life but I'm not sure how it came out on photo. My computer color is off, so I'm not sure how it comes out. It varies everytime I see it.
Thanks for looking.
Have a nice day!

Mojo Monday card

I'm a bit tad behind on my Mojo Monday card. The first card I created was the Asian/blossom theme (possibly trying to play along with Candice's them for the week). I wanted to go for a green/yellow colr theme but the colors were too washed out for me. (I like bright and happy cards, so I tried again with the sunflower.) It worked out alot better. I couldn't decide whether to turn it upside down or not, but my little 3 yr old said that she prefers (well, she INSISTED and I couldn't say no) it with the green on the bottom. It looked good. My little ones likes to help out with my cards. And there's no way I can talk a 3 yr old out of anything when she's got her mind set on something. Why fight it, right? After it was all completed, complimented me on how pretty my card was. hehehehhee, she makes me smile.

Mojo Monday

I was trying to find the right lighting to capture his playfulness. I'm thinking I need a new camera. After that speeding ticket, I'll have to start saving up for one. Hmmmmm....

I'm a bit behind on my card but here's one for the Mojo Monday layout. What better way to commemorate the harsh winter than with a jolly Santa. He's absolutely adorable. Thanks Laura! Laura was kind enough to let go of this set so that I can have it. The first day I received it, I was coloring like crazy. Can't help myself, he's just too cute. I decided to go polka dot green with him. He's just too jolly not to do something fun and whimsical with. Enjoy!
