Oldies but goodies

These are older cards that I had made and they were in my computer.

It has been a long day

Hubby's car needed work. We, the wee ones, had been up early to drop his car at the garage and afterwards drop him of at work. Afterwards I took the kids shopping with me. We headed off to Rancho Cucamonga, which was 42 miles away! My destination was Hobby Lobby! We made it and had a lot of fun. We spent the day shopping at Michaels, Old Navy, Hobby Lobby and had lunch at Subways. It makes for an interesting day. The wee ones were so good in the long car trip. Luckily we were only 30 min picking up hubby from work. He was not too happy with me but he is such a patient man! We spent the whole day shopping....wow, what good kids I've got. We had to pick up hubby's car from Pepboys and then drop it off into another shop for the humming noise that his engine was making. I should have more tie tomorrow to post a card.

I have been making some cards lately and have been trying to figure out how to sell them. I don't quite have followers who are interested in my creations. I tried ebay but I was not quite so successful. No takers. I have to try Etsy but the fees scares me. I am thinking that maybe I should try to make a ton of them and try to set up a table at the Farmers market next....

This is one of my favorite Mo Manning image. She is so adorable. The color is a bit sumber for me. I find that I love bright colors...it makes me happy. Being in the California sun, everything seems brighter and happier. I should really try to see if I can make friends/stamping buddies out here. We are slowly adjusted to the hot weather. It has been in the 80s and just for the past 2 days, it has crept to the 90s....94 to be exact....and we are lovin it!

Back in the groove

I am able to get back into crafting again. We had family visiting us for 3 weeks and yesterday was the last day to host. We will dearly miss their company. I got a few minutes to sit down and use my Prisma pencils today. Sorry but the pictures were taken with my camera phone a few minutes ago.

I messed up on her face. The color was somehow off, so I went back in with Copics to even it out, but somehow it got worse. Then I ended up erasing the color off and reapply Prisma color again. It is ok....but not as how I wanted it to come out. I like the purple hues with her purple hair.

With this one, I was ok with coloring her, but when it got to the tablecloth portion, it did nto turned out as I had expected. I should have paperstitched the tablecloth instead. Oh well.

This is my favorite of the threee. Maybe it was because it was the last image that I had colored. hehehehee. The black worked out well with the pink. I will try that color combo for next time. I have been working on a few cards and will upload a few more tonight.

I'm back.....

I had been away and now have more time to post. Today blogspot was having problems uploading my pics, I will see if I can try to upload again tomorrow.

Center Step Card

Here's my take on the center step card.

Box and card

My little 5 year old helped me with the flowers for the explosion box. She did the sponging of the ink onto the flower petals and I put them together. She's very adorable, she loves to craft with me. A very sweet and patient child. I made a matching card to match with the box. The image is from Gorjuss Girls, I just love them.

Handpainted wine glasses

I hand painted these wine glasses awhile back. I love green and the different shades of it. I will share a card after this post.

I made these awhile back and wanted to share it. Nothing new, just a template and cardstock.

It's been a while since I last blogged. I am getting back to my creativity. I should be able to post new things that I've been working on soon. Taking it one day at a time....

Magnolia Mother's Day card

I'm back form my Twilight hiatus. I've read all of the books and it was GREAT!! (I did lose a few night's sleep just to find out the plot.) Hopefully they will turn all the books into a movie.
Back to my stamping.... I made this using the SU background stamp. It's embossed with Tim Holtz' distressed embossing powder (brown) and water-colored in. I just wanted to give it a simple look and focusing on the main flower. The background was kept simple and I tried to pull all of the colors out of the from the main image and repeat it in the background. As usual, I don't put sentiments on my cards until I'm ready to send it out, so that it wil coordinate with the occassion.

Twilight

I haven't been online to post any cards for the past 2 weeks. I got addicted to the Twilight thing. It started with the movie. I LOVE it!! Then I found out that my sisters had the books and I've been reading the books. I started with "Twilight", then "New Mooon", and now I'm on "Eclipse". I'm half way through. Maybe I'll be done and get back to my cards soon...after I finished "Breaking Dawn". I really love the movie and can't wait for New Moon to be in theaters. I though Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were awesome as Bella Swan and Edward Cullen. It's just a cute movie. I've also seen the interviews and thought how adorable they both really were.

I'll probably be MIA for another week or so.
