This is the perfect time to welcome the summer. We have been getting lovely warm weather here in California. It has been in the 70-80s. This weekend is supposed to be even hotter! You know where I'll be at....
I wanted to use a warm tone and Earth-y colors to remind me of the beach---so I stuck with shades of browns with a warm peachy tone. The seashell stamp can be found here and "A Day at the Beach" stamp can be found here.
My lovely in-laws are visiting us all the way from Florida this week! We are super-excited! Whenever we get family visiting us out here, we are always happy. My mother-in-law loves the coral color. This card reminds me of her.
I've added pleats to make the shell image "pop". (I am sort-of running out of dimensional foam tape. I love making everything "pop".....so I just tried to improvised.)

Cammy, This card is just plain gorgeous! The embossing folder and the distress ink give you that feel of water, sun, and sand. This card says oceans (no pun intended!) without being too fussy.

You used my favorite embossing folder for your background so major points for that. I think you & I are kindred spirits in the fact I have so much stuff I don't know just what all I do have @ this point or where some of it is! Help I'm drowning in card making supplies. LOL. Soothing earth tones and the soft peach accent really do say 'beach' to me too. Love the embossing folder choice in the background too as it brings to mind the ocean waves curling just before they crash on the beach. Beautiful...

Your embossing does look like waves and popping up the medallion using an accordion method is a great idea, especially if your out of foam dots. This is one idea I will definitely use. Thanks for sharing!
