Simple and Sweet

I normally don't do too well with simple cards, but this one told me to stop when I got to this part. It looks prettier in person than it does in the picture. The colors I chose are my wedding colors. It's peach/orange, kind of apricot-like.
It doesn't show up so well. I colored the main image in copics and loaded it up with sparkles. This is tame...
And here comes the sparkles...
ouch!
This Sparkle N Sprinkle set is just too addicting. I can not seem to stop using it! I promise to give it a rest on my next post. But don't be surprised if it shows up again ;)

Have a nice day. And thanks for stopping by....

Pretty in Pink

Here is a card that I had a chance to sit down and complete. I had my eye on this image for awhile. I caved and got it.
Can't forget the sparkles!
Isn't he cute? I added sparkles on his uniform and lots of glitters on the tissue paper as well as lots of glitter on the heart accessory. Glitters courtesy of Sparkle N Sprinkle.

Must Have!

Here is another beauty that you might enjoy:
This is the new Sparkle N Sprinkle set called Holiday Foliage. I love it! I had used the holly as background paper for my last card. Very beautiful in real life. I had embossed the images in white embossing powder for both cards and then colored it in. My next task is to use my Copics. I think that it will come out stunning colored with Copics.

Again, more layering. :)
The cutting wasn't so bad either. I embossed, colored, and cut the layers out. It didn't take too long to see beautiful results. You can see that it's allsparkly. I wasn't using much either.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

New Sparkle N Sprinkle set!

Isn't this such a lovely image???
This is such a beautiful poinsettia image....ever!!  :)
I was thrilled that I  got a chance to design a card with this poinsettia. It is absolutely gorgeous! I love how it's such a great size. Perfect for everything. Here is a not-so-close picture:
I used craft cardstock. If you can not tell, I used another image from the set as background paper in the back image. I can not get over how versatile this set is. I love it!
I layered the poinsettias using dimensionals. If you haven;t noticed I use dimensionals on all of my projects.....and Cloud Nine microfine glitter. LOL. It's an addiction.

Layers and layers.....never know, Winter is coming.

This is the true color of the card. Not sure why it looked so dull in the picture.

Thank you for stopping by!

Merry Crows

This is a Sparkle N Sprinkle image from a set called Merry Crows. When I saw this image, I fell in love with it. This is the cutest snowman out out there. I love that it is a profile image. I wanted to make the image the main focus and kept it clean with just the snowman there. I could put words or sentiments on the other side but it would detract from the beautiful image.
Don't you just his little friend? It looks like that they are having a chat. Wonder what they are discussing...
Here is the finished card.
Let me show you the sparkles!
The iridescent color on the borders is iridescent glitter tinsel! The one used here is Swan Wing. Don't you just love it!?? I used 1/4 double-sided "tear"-ific tape to apply the tinsel glitter. I swear this tape is so strong! All the glitter just binds to it! And it is easy enough to work with that you can just tear it to whatever size you need. Comes in handy when you can't find that pair of scissor that has been hiding under the pile(s) of cardstock....that eventually turns up when you don't need it! (The stamping fairies hates me...they are forever hiding my scissor(s). I own at least 6 pairs of scissors...and can not find one when I need it! )
You must be wondering to yourself:
How did she get that pretty green background?
And how did she get it to match snowman's scarf??

Very easy, I used flocking! That beautiful color is called Palm Leaf. Just a beautiful color on the screen, as it is in real life.  Again, use the double sided "tear"-ific tape on your cardstock and feel free to pour as little or as much flocking as you want! The nice part is that it feels like a real "scarf"! It's so soft.

And you know that I CAN NOT complete a card without my favorite glitter: Cloud Nine Micro Fine Glitter! I managed to sneak in my Cloud Nine favorite with Twinkling Clouds Flocking on the snowman's body.

Thanks for stopping by. :)

Drawer Easel Card

I had made this for my entry for the Sparkle N Sprinkle team.

This is a Michelle Perkett digital image called Holly the Christmas Friendship Fairy that Sparkle N Sprinkle carries. She is such an easy image to work with. I love her coat! Wished they had one in my size! Again, my "safe" Christmas colors of gold and red. I wanted a warm color palette.

Surprise! It is a box (jewelry box or whatever you want to store inside.) I added the lock and key to give it an authentic look. Lots of sponging on the edges of every corner. That has been my favorite as of late. It gives all of my layers a complete and cohesive look.
I made it big enough to fit stcks of ribbons here. LOL
Yes, this is an easel card drawer box. You can find the directions and dimensions on the Sparkle N Sprinkle Art Gallery page.

Getting ready for Christmas...not yet.

I was in the bookmark-making phase. I've created this lovely snowman book mark from a Sparkle N Sprinkle set called "Merrry Crows."

In real life he is VERY sparkly! I just love the glitters!!
Normally, I am not a fan of creating Christmas cards. But this little guy was very easy to work with. He was just too adorable. You can not go wrong.
When I think of Christmas, I think of burgundy red and gold colors. We always decorate our Christmas tree in "traditional" colors. THAT was before we had a little girl, now I see rainbow when I think of decorating the Christmas tree. Last year, our tree was pink and light blue! She insisted that the tree should be pink. To be honest, it wasn't too bad. If she could, Paige would paint the world a happy color.
I opted to go with the green color scheme for this little guy. He looked all bundled up and warm. That was the type of weather that we have been getting for the past week here: hot...and hot. His scarf was covered in micro fine glitter and flocking. I LOVE the flocking that Sparkle N Sprinkle carries! It is just so soft! I feels like a real scarf after I had applied it to the snowman's scarf.

Have a nice day and thanks for stopping by!
